“I am the bread of life.” (John 6:48 ESV”

Jesus described Himself using metaphorical statements, such as this one, “I am the bread of life.”

Jesus said, “I am the living bread that came down from heaven”

“I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.” (John 6:51 ESV)

Whoever comes to this  “bread of life” will never hunger or thirst

“Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.” (John 6:35 ESV)

Jesus said, “Take eat; this is my body.”

While they were eating, Jesus took some bread, and after a blessing, He broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, "Take, eat; this is My body." (Matt. 26:26 NASB)
