Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.” (2 Thess. 3:16 NIV)

Jesus made peace possible

When Jesus came, He made it possible for us to have peace with God in every way and at all times. Having peace with God means that we can experience peace in our day-to-day lives no matter what happens. And, perhaps most importantly, it means that we can help others find peace with God, too.

To have peace the peace of God in every situation…

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 4:6-7 NIV)

In Jesus you have peace, even in the midst of trouble

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33 NIV)

Jesus brought peace, therefore, don’t let your heart be troubled

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27 NIV)

Therefore…

“Mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.” (Jude 1:2 NIV)

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” (Num. 6:24-26 NIV)

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” (Matt. 5:9 ESV)

“If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.” (Rom. 12:18 ESV)

“Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.” (James 3:18 NIV)
