The love of God

“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Rom. 5:8 ESV)

Because God loved us…

“In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” (1 John 4:9-11 ESV)

“But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ- by grace you have been saved.” (Eph. 2:4-5)

God gave the greatest kind of love

“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13 ESV)

He washed us from sin in His own blood because He loved us

“…and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood…” (Rev. 1:5 NKJV)

This is how God loved you

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.” (John 3:16-17 NLT)

Quote…

“God proved His love on the Cross. When Christ hung, and bled, and died, it was God saying to the world, "I love you." - Billy Graham
