When your life is in the Spirit

“But the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him.” (1 Cor. 6:17)

God is Spirit

God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4:24 ESV)

The Spirit is alive and dwells in you

“However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.” (Rom. 8:9)

“If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness.” (Rom. 8:10)

The mind set on the Spirit is life and peace

“For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace…” (Rom. 8:6)

“…the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.” (Gal. 6:8)

Strength and power through His Spirit

“I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love.” (Eph. 3:16-17 NIV) 

Therefore…

“This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit.” (1 John 4:13 NIV)

“…you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 2:5)

“If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.” (Gal. 5:29)
