The new is here!

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Cor. 5:17)

Fresh beginning

Every year on January 1st, we get a chance, so to speak, to start over. But with God, we have a fresh beginning every day, even moment-by-moment, as needed! That’s because if you are “in Christ” (and anyone who has received Christ, is) “the old has gone and the new is here”.   

Do not dwell on the past 

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” (Isa. 43:18:19)

Press on ahead

“Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 3:13-14)

Therefore

“Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” (Lam. 3:22-24)

“but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isa. 40:31)

“Your beginnings will seem humble, so prosperous will your future be.” (Job 8:7)
