When trouble increases around you

“...LORD, how they have increased who trouble me!... But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head...” (Psalm 3:1, 3, NKJV)

Straighten up and raise your heads

During the writing of this, the news is filled with many disturbing images of violent protesting and riots happening in major cities across the nation. People causing trouble seem to be everywhere on every side. But, as the passage above says, God is your “shield” and “the One who lifts your head!” In fact, Jesus said that when you see troubling things in the world (happening as the signs of the end times), you should “straighten up and raise your heads” because you know your redemption is near!

“Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” (Luke 21:28 ESV)

Therefore

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isa. 41:10 ESV)

“Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 1:13 ESV)

Quote:

Such are the conditions prior to Judgment Day. We need to learn from this and not fret when we see these things happening, but say: Christ predicted beforehand that the world would become so savage, coarse, greedy, and so on. Well then! That's the way it is, and it is even going to get worse.” – Martin Luther
