Become partakers of God’s promises

“For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.  (2 Peter 1:4 ESV)

There are literally thousands of promises in the Bible which God has placed there to cover every possible need, whether it be physical, mental, social or spiritual. God has provided them to help you share in His divine nature and to escape the worldly corruption present everywhere.

They are “yes and amen”

These promises are all pre-approved by Jesus and ready for you to use.

“For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us.” (2 Cor. 1:20 NASB)

When known, applied, and mixed with faith

Most Christians can’t quote even three of the thousands of promises for them in the Bible! This is sad because in order for God’s promises to work for anyone, they must be…

1)    Known – If you don’t know them, you can’t benefit from them.

2)    Applied – If you don’t apply them, they can’t work. Use them or lose them!

3)    Mixed with faith – if you believe them they will work. If you don’t believe them they won’t! They are all faith activated!

Therefore

Over the next (undetermined) number of days I will be posting Bible promises that I believe every believer MUST know and have committed to memory in order to be fully equipped with what is needed to live and survive in this world, no matter what they are faced with. I will post one a day. Hopefully, this will give you a chance to meditate on them and to memorize them.

“My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh.” (Prov. 4:20-22 ESV)
