Go to God for Remedy

“For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, ‘Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” (Isa. 41:13)

So, you’ve made a huge mistake, and you don’t know what to do!

When you make a serious mistake caused by your own doing, bringing negative consequences as a result, and you cannot undo what happened, you can and must approach God for a remedy for it. He says to “Cast all your cares upon Him”, and that includes mistakes of any kind. King David new better, yet he sinned greatly, committing adultery with Bathsheba, and then he tried to cover it up by sending her husband, Uriah, to the front lines of battle to be killed (2 Sam. 11). It was deliberate sin, and he got caught when Nathan confronted him (2 Sam. 12:7-14). As terrible as it was, David repented (admitted his sin), and he turned back to God for forgiveness and restoration (Psalms 51).

Therefore

“If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored; If you remove unrighteousness far from your tent,” (Job. 22:23)

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. ‘The Lord is my portion,’ says my soul,‘therefore I will hope in him.’” (Lam. 3:22-24

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” (Rom. 8:28)
