If my people!

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chron. 7:14)

It’s not about secular leadership

This verse makes it very clear. God does not say, “If the president…” or “If the kings and queens…” or “If the world’s leaders…”

No. He says, “If My people, who are called by My name…”

God’s people

The solution to the condition of a nation does not begin in the White House, a parliament, or a palace. It begins in God’s house — with God’s people.

What God’s people must do:

• Humble themselves

• Pray

• Seek His face

• Turn from their wicked ways

How God promises to respond:

• He will hear from heaven

• He will forgive their sin

• He will heal their land

Therefore, the real answer to the wickedness in our land is not political — it’s spiritual

The responsibility is not first on the culture, the media, or the government. It is on us — God’s people — to wake up and respond according to His Word.

“The LORD is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the righteous.” (Prov.  15:29)

“Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven.” (Psalm 107:28–30)

“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” (Ephesians 6:18)

“He will respond to the prayer of the destitute; he will not despise their plea.” (Psalm 102:17)

Therefore

If we want God’s intervention, we must first seek God’s face. Revival does not come from elections. It comes from repentance. When God’s people get right with God, God moves — and He heals the land.

“The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.” (Psalm 145:18)
