God will NEVER leave you!
“For the LORD loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones.” (Psalm 37:28a)
I often hear fellow Christians pray something like, “Lord, go with us today,” even though He clearly tells us in His Word that He is already with us—and that He will never leave us or forsake us. Instead, we might better pray something like, “Thank You, Lord, for always being with me!”
Here are ten powerful promises from God’s Word that prove His faithfulness to always be with you:
“‘Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.’” (Deut. 31:6)
“The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” (Deut. 31:8)
“As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Joshua 1:5)
“May the LORD our God be with us as he was with our fathers; may He never leave us nor forsake us.” (1 Kings 8:57)
“Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you…” (1 Chron. 28:20)
“For the LORD loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones.” (Psalm 37:28)
“For the LORD will not reject his people; he will never forsake his inheritance.” (Psalm 94:14)
“I, the LORD… will not forsake them.” (Isaiah 41:17)
“These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.” (Isaiah 42:16)
“God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.’” (Hebrews 13:5)
One final truth to remember
When you prayed to receive Jesus Christ, He came to live inside of you. Everywhere you go, He is already there. You never walk alone. You are never abandoned. You are never forgotten.
“Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?” (1 Cor. 3:16)
Therefore
Because God lives in you and has promised never to leave you or forsake you, you can face every day, every challenge, and every uncertainty with confidence and peace. You don’t need to ask Him to “go with you”—you can thank Him that He already is.
“The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” (Deut. 31:8)
