Jesus and the Father are exactly the same
IMG_5219.JPG

“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.” (Heb. 1:3 NIV)

“God with us”

“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,”which is translated, “God with us.” (Matt. 1:23 NKJV)

“Mighty God”

“For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isa. 9:6 NKJV)

I am He”

“You are My witnesses,” says the Lord, "And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me, And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me.” (Isa. 43:10-11 NKJV)

“I am the first and the last”

“And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.” (Rev. 1:17-18 NKJV)

“God and Savior Jesus Christ

“Simon Peter, a bondservant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ.” (2 Peter 1:1 NKJV)

“The Word was God”

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.” (John 1:1-3 NKJV)

They "are one"

“ I and My Father are one.” (John 10:30 NKJV)

“He who has seen Me has seen the Father”

“Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?  Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.” (John 14:9-11 NKJV)

“Jesus Christ, being in the form of God”

“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men." (Phil. 2:5-7 NKJV)

Mike FrenchBible Promises
Jesus is coming again, as promised!
IMG_5218.JPG

“Men of Galilee," they said, "why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven." (Acts 1:11 NIV)

He is coming a second time

“So Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.” (Heb. 9:28 ESV)

He will descend from Heaven

“For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.” (2 Thes. 4:16-17 ESV)

Like lightning

“For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.” (Matt. 24:27 ESV)

Every eye will see Him

“Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen.” (Rev. 1:7 ESV)

You must be ready

“Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” (Matt. 24:44 ESV)

“But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.” (2 Peter 3:10 ESV)

But watch yourselves

“But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:34-36)

Don’t be troubled

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.” (John 14:1-3 ESV)

No one knows the day and hour

“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.” (Matt. 24:36 ESV)

Wait for our Blessed hope

“Waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.” (Titus 2:13 ESV)

Mike FrenchBible Promises
God has given you freedom from fear and anxiety!
IMG_5216.JPG

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27 NIV)

We need to be aware of what God has already provided so we don’t repeatedly ask Him for what He has already given. Over the last few days I have been sharing some of them with you. Here is another one.

Freedom from fear and anxiety

God would never tell you to do something you couldn’t do. Fear and anxiety is not from God and is a device of the devil to rob and stop God’s people from doing what God has created them to do. In fact, God commands not to fear 365 times in the Bible, one for each day of the year.

Fear and anxiety are NOT from God

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” (2 Tim. 1:7 NLT)

“The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father." (Rom. 8:15 NIV)

Do NOT be anxious about anything!

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 4:6-7 NIV)

God Commands you to NOT be afraid

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Josh. 1:9 NIV)

Cast all your anxiety upon God

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7 NIV)

Be not afraid because God is with you!

“The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” (Psalm 218:6 NIV)

Mike FrenchBible Promises
God has given you thousands of promises!
IMG_5211.JPG

"And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world's corruption caused by human desires.” (2 Peter 2:4 NLT)

We need to be aware of what God has already provided so we don’t repeatedly ask Him for what He has already given. Over the last few days I have been sharing some of them with you. Here is another one.

Promises

Promise: a declaration or assurance that one will do a particular thing or that a particular thing will happen. assurance, pledge, vow, guarantee, oath, bond, undertaking, agreement, commitment, contract, covenant.

There are thousands of them for you!

There are thousands of them scattered throughout the Bible and they cover every need! (Phil. 4:19).

They are all "Yes" in Christ!

“For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ.” (2 Cor. 1:20 NIV)

They MUST be mixed with faith!

Even though God has provided all these wonderful promises for you, they won't profit you unless you mix them with faith (believe them with your whole heart and stand on them without wavering). See the verses below

"For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it." (Heb  4:2 KJV)

"But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind." (James 1:6 NIV)

Mike FrenchBible Promises
God has given you righteousness
IMG_5212.JPG

“Filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.” (Phil. 1:11 ESV)

We need to be aware of what God has already provided so we don’t repeatedly ask Him for what He has already given. Over the last few days and continuing over the next few, I’m sharing some of them with you. Here is another one.

Righteousness

We become the righteousness of God

“For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Cor. 5:21 ESV)

Free gift of righteousness

“For if, because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.” (Rom. 5:17 ESV)

Righteousness through faith in Christ

“And be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith.” (Phil. 3:9 ESV)

A new self created after the likeness of God in true righteousness

“And to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.” (Eph. 4:24 ESV)

The one who practices righteousness is righteous

“Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.” (1 John 3:7 NASB)

 Hunger and thirst for righteousness

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied." (Matt  5:6 ESV)

The righteous shall live by faith

God has given you grace upon grace!
IMG_5210.JPG

“And from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.” (John  1:16 ESV).

We need to be aware of what God has already provided so we don’t repeatedly ask Him for what He has already given. Over the last few days and continuing over the next few, I’m sharing some of them with you. Here is another one.

Grace

Grace defined: The free and unmerited favor of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings.

Grace is free to you through Jesus

“Let us praise God for his glorious grace, for the free gift he gave us in his dear Son.” (Eph. 1:6 NIV)

“But by the free gift of God’s grace all are put right with him through Christ Jesus, who sets them free (Rom. 3:24 NIV)

By grace through faith

For it is by God’s grace that you have been saved through faith. It is not the result of your own efforts, but God’s gift, so that no one can boast about it. (Eph. 2:8-9 NIV)

You are not under law but under grace

“For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.” (Rom. 6:14 ESV)

By grace and not by works

“But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace.” (Rom. 11:6 ESV)

“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.” (1 Cor. 15:10 ESV)

Saved to a holy calling by grace

“Who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began.” (2Tim. 1:9 ESV)

Excel in the act of grace

“But as you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all earnestness, and in our love for you—see that you excel in this act of grace also.” (2 Cor. 8:7 ESV)

Mike FrenchBible Promises
God has given you a living hope
IMG_5203.JPG

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” (1 Peter 1:3 NIV)

We need to be aware of what God has already provided so we don’t repeatedly ask Him for what He has already given. Over the last few days and continuing over the next few, I’m sharing some of them with you. Here is another one.

Hope

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Rom. 15:13 NIV)

Hope renews your strength

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isa. 40:31 NIV)

Confidence in hope

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” (Heb. 11:1 NIV)

Hope does not put us to shame

“And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” (Rom. 5:5 NIV)

Hold unswervingly to hope

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.” (Heb. 10:23 NIV)

Hope remains

“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” (1 Cor. 13:13 NIV)

Mike FrenchBible Promises
God has supplied all your needs abundantly!
IMG_5201.JPG

“And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 4:19 NASB)

We need to be aware of what God has already provided so we don’t repeatedly ask Him for what He has already given. Over the last few days and continuing over the next few, I’m sharing some of them with you. Here is another one.

 Supply

God gives you good things

“If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him! (Matt. 7:11 ESV)

You are important

“Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds!” (Luke 12:24 ESV)

You will lack no good thing

“The young lions suffer want and hunger; but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.” (Psalm 34:10 ESV)

Therefore do not be anxious

“Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’” (Matt. 6:31 ESV)

Mike FrenchBible Promises
God has given you a purpose
IMG_5200.JPG

“For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Eph. 2:10 NIV)

We need to be aware of what God has already provided so we don’t repeatedly ask Him for what He has already given. Over the last few days and continuing over the next few, I’m sharing some of them with you. Here is another one.

Purpose

“For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.” (Phil. 2:13 NLT)

Called according to His purpose

“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” (Rom. 8:28 NASB)

Purpose and grace

“He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace" (2 Tim. 1:9).

The Lord’s purpose prevails

“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails" (Prov. 19:21)

God works in you to fulfill His good purpose

“For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose" (Phil. 2:13)
