“Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test?” (2 Cor. 13:5 NIV)

Nothing is impossible with faith

“He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matt. 17:20 NIV)

Faith can move mountains

“Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.” (Matt. 21:21 NIV)

Everything that does not come from faith is sin

“But whoever has doubts is condemned if they eat, because their eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin.” (Rom. 14:23 NIV)

The testing of your faith produces endurance

“Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces [d]endurance. And let ]endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be [g]perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” (James 1:2-4 NASB)

“What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food.  If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” (James 2:14-17 NIV)

Show your faith by your deeds

“But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder. You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless[d]?” (James 2:18-20 NIV)

Faith and action must work together

“Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend. You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone. In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.” (James 2:21-26 NIV)

“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.” (2 Cor. 16:13 NIV)

Continue in your faith, established and firm

“… if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.” (Col. 1:23 NIV)

Hold on to faith and a good conscience

“…holding on to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and so have suffered shipwreck with regard to the faith.” (1 Tim. 1:19 NIV)

If you have faith as small as a mustard seed

“The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” “He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.” (Luke 17:5-6 NIV)

Draw near to God in full assurance

“Let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.” (Heb. 10:22 NASB)

“In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.” (Eph. 6:16 NIV)

You overcome the world with faith

“…for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.” (1 John 5:4-5 NIV)

Resist the devil by standing firm in the faith

“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.” (1 Peter 5:9 NIV)

Continue in your faith, established and firm

“...if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.” (Col. 1:23 NIV)

Be strengthened in faith and give glory to God

“Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.” The words “it was credited to him” were written not for him alone, but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness—for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead." (Rom. 4:20-24 NIV)

 “It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak.” (2 Cor. 4:13 NIV)

Christ dwells in your heart through faith

“so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love.” (Eph. 3:17 NIV)

The life you now live in the body, live it by faith

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” (Gal. 2:20 NIV)

Either broken off by unbelief or  you stand by faith

“Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but tremble.” (Rom. 11:20 NIV)

It is by your faith you stand

“Not that we lord it over your faith, but we work with you for your joy, because it is by faith you stand firm.” (2 Cor. 1:24 NIV)

“For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.” (Gal. 5:6 NIV)

A sincere faith

“The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.” (1 Tim. 1:5 NIV)

Love and faith

“…because I hear about your love for all his holy people and your faith in the Lord Jesus.” (Phil. 1:5 NIV)

Exclude boasting because of the law that requires faith

“Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. Because of what law? The law that requires works? No, because of the law that requires faith.” (Rom. 3:27 NIV)

We have gained access by faith and boast of the glory of God

“…through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.” (Rom. 5:2 NIV)

“For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.” (Heb. 4:2 KJV)

It’s impossible to please God without faith

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” (Heb. 11:1 NIV)

The promise comes to all by faith

“Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring—not only to those who are of the law but also to those who have the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all.” (Rom. 4:16 NIV)

Hold onto faith with a good conscience

“Timothy, my son, I am giving you this command in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by recalling them you may fight the battle well, holding on to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and so have suffered shipwreck with regard to the faith.” (1 Tim. 1:18-19 NIV)

Fight the good fight of faith

“Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.” (2 Tim. 6:12 NIV)

“So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith.” (Gal. 3:26 NIV)

 We have gained access by faith

“…through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.” (Rom. 5:2 NIV)

We may approach God freely through faith

“In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.” (Eph. 3:12 NIV)

What was promised was given by faith in Jesus

“But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.” (Gal. 3:22 NIV)

Through faith and patience inherit what has been promised

“We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.” (Heb. 6:12 NIV)

 “He did not discriminate between us and them, for he purified their hearts by faith.” (Acts 15:9 NIV)

Sanctified by faith

“… to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’” (Acts 26:18 NIV)

God’s work is advanced by faith

“…or to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. Such things promote controversial speculations rather than advancing God’s work—which is by faith.” (1 Tim. 1:4 NIV)

God’s power shields us through faith

“…who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.” (1 Peter 1:5 NIV)
