When you doubt your self worth

God made you and you are very valuable to him!

He created you in His own image

Even the hairs on your head are numbered

“Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows.” (Luke 12:6-7 ESV)

God has wonderful plans for your life

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jer. 29:11 ESV)

When you need provision

Never fear or panic!

During national emergencies people often panic and rush to empty grocery shelves. But fear never helps solve shortages. It only makes things worse. Christians should never fear or panic no matter what happens! God is more than able to supply the needs of His people!

God will supply your every need

“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 4:19 ESV)

No begging necessary for God’s kids!

“I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging for bread.” (Psalm 37:25 ESV)

Ask God for things you need 

“If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!” (Matt. 7:11 ESV)

When you feel crushed in spirit

“The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.” (Psalm 34:18 NLT)

God does not despise a broken spirit

“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.” (Psalm 51:17)

God restores and heals the spirit

“For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: "I dwell in a high and holy place, and with the oppressed and humble of spirit, to restore the spirit of the lowly and revive the heart of the contrite.” (Isa. 57:15)

A joyful heart is good medicine

When you feel weak and lack power

The incredible greatness of God’s power for us

Power comes through the Holy Spirit 

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8 ESV)

“For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” (2 Tim. 1:7 ESV)

When you fear failure

“The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.” (Psalms 37:23-24 NIV)

Everyone fails occasionally 

Failure is okay, if you don’t allow it to stop you, and you learn from it, and you grow stronger through it. The Bible makes it clear that when you fall you must get up again and make needed adjustments. 

Get back up 

“… This is what the Lord says: You know if a man falls down, he gets up again. And if a man goes the wrong way, he turns around and comes back.” (Jer. 8:4)

Get up repeatedly 

“The righteous may fall seven times but still get up, but the wicked will stumble into trouble.” (Prov. 24:16)

“Our enemies have no reason to gloat over us. We have fallen, but we will rise again. We are in darkness now, but the Lord will give us light.” (Micah 7:8)

God is with you so don’t fear

“The LORD is the one who is going ahead of you. He will be with you. He won’t abandon you or leave you. So don’t be afraid or terrified.” (Deut. 31:8)

When your faith feels insufficient

“Jesus asked the boy’s father, “How long has he been like this?” “From childhood,” he answered. “It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us.” “‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.” Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” (Mark 9:21-24 NIV)

 In the above passage, Jesus asked the father of a demon possessed boy some questions.The desperate father used faithless words in response, saying, “If you can do anything.” And Jesus responded with, “If you can’?” ... “Everything is possible for one who believes.” Then the father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” This father was feeling exactly like many of us do occasionally, when we feel insufficient in our faith. 

 Faith is confidence

 “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” (Heb. 11:1 NIV)

 We live by faith

 “For we live by faith, not by sight.” (2 Cor. 5:7 NIV)

 It is impossible to please God without faith

 “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” (Heb. 11:6 NIV)

 Faith is tested

“Because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.“ (James 1:3 NIV)

Faith involves your heart and mouth

“For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” (Rom. 10:10 NIV)

Therefore

“I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love.” (Eph. 3:16-17 NIV)

When you feel like giving up

You can do all things through His strength

Remember, God is with you wherever you go

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Josh. 1:9 ESV)

God, who began a good work in you will bring it to completion

When you want to know how to pray

Jesus’ Teaching on Prayer

“Pray then like this: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.’” (Matt. 6:9-13 ESV)

When you pray, believe

“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” (Mark 11:24 ESV)

The prayer of a righteous person has great power

“Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” (James 5:16 ESV)

What to pray for

“First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Tim. 2:1-4 ESV)

Continue to pray and watch with thanksgiving 

“Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.” (Col. 4:2 ESV)

Therefore

“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chron. 7:14 ESV)

When you are jealous or envious of others

Jealousy is earthly, unspiritual and demonic

“But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.” (James 3:14-15 ESV)

Jealousy and envy are works of the flesh  

“For you are still of the flesh. For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving only in a human way?” (1 Cor. 3:3 ESV)

Jealousy leads to every vile practice

“For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.” (James 3:16 ESV)

A severe warning that includes  Jealousy and envy 

“Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” (Gal. 5:19-21 ESV)
