God Does Wonderful Things

“O sing to the LORD a new song, For He has done wonderful things, His right hand and His holy arm have gained the victory for Him.” (Psalm 98:1)

God is not ordinary!

Have you ever noticed how easy it is to forget the wonderful things God has already done? When we are facing a new problem, we can become so focused on what is difficult that we overlook what is marvelous. But the Bible reminds us again and again that God is not ordinary. He is great, faithful, powerful, and full of wonders.

Sometimes His wonders are big and obvious

Other times they are quiet and personal—a prayer answered, a heart strengthened, a door opened, a burden lifted, a Scripture that speaks exactly when we need it. God is always at work, even when we do not immediately recognize what He is doing.

“For you are great and do marvelous deeds; you alone are God.” (Psalm 86:10 NIV)

The Lord does not merely do good things; He does wonderful things

He works with perfect wisdom, perfect timing, and perfect faithfulness. What He planned long ago, He is able to bring to pass.

“O LORD, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name; For You have worked wonders, Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness.” (Isa. 25:1)

Therefore

Ask God to open your eyes to His wonders—in His Word, in your life, and in the world around you. Then give Him thanks, sing His praise, and tell others what He has done.

“Tell of His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all the peoples.” (1 Chron. 16:24)

“I give infinite thanks to God, who has been pleased to make me the first observer of marvelous things.” - Galileo Galilei
