Members of God’s household

“Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household.” (Eph. 2:19 NIV)

The above passages says two things

1) You are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people.

“So we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.” (Rom. 12:5 ESV)

2) You are members of God’s household.

“But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:12 ESV)

“See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.” (2 John 3:1-2 ESV)

Therefore…

“So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.” (Gal. 6:10 ESV)

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:34-35)
