Be thankful

 “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thess. 5:18 ESV)

Be thankful because God is good

“Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!” (Psalm 107 1 ESV)

Be thankful because God is your Father

“Giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,” (Eph. 5:20 ESV)

Be thankful because God gives you good and perfect gifts

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.” (James 1:17 ESV)

Be thankful because God gives you peace

“And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.” (Col. 3:15 ESV)

Be thankful for God’s gift of salvation through Jesus

“Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!” (2 Cor. 9:15 ESV)

Therefore…

“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” (Col. 3:17 ESV)
