God is absolutely trustworthy!

“God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?” (Num. 23:19 NIV)

As a child, I was in and out of the welfare system, and I lived in multiple home situations where I discovered early on that people weren’t trustworthy. This caused me much emotional pain and anxiety and affected my self-image negatively. But I eventually received Christ, and that changed everything for me! He is someone who is faithful 100 percent of the time! His Word will never fail!

The Certainty of God’s Promise

“When God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, he swore by himself, saying, “I will surely bless you and give you many descendants.” And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised. People swear by someone greater than themselves, and the oath confirms what is said and puts an end to all argument. Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged.” (Heb. 6:13-18 NIV)

Therefore

“Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.” (Psalm 20:7 NIV)

“in the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time,” (Titus 1:2 NIV)
