Prince of Peace

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isa. 9:6 ESV)

Names of God

God has many names and titles in the Bible. Each one tells us something important about Him—His character and how He relates to us. And how we must relate to Him. Here is another one of His many Names, which is Prince of Peace.

Prince of Peace – Jesus

Jesus Christ is called the Prince of Peace because He restores every broken relationship, provides a well-ordered and balanced life, and offers the assurance of eternal life. Jesus Christ is the only reason we can truly live peacefully with God.

Jesus has become the Prince of Peace so that we, the children of God, may become the peacemakers

“Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God.” (Matt. 5:9)

“I create the fruit of the lips: Peace, peace to him who is far off and to him who is near,” Says the Lord, “And I will heal him.” (Isa. 57:19)

Therefore

“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Rom. 5:1).
