Grow Up and Mature in the Knowledge of God
“Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity…” (Heb. 6:1–2 NIV)
Move on to maturity
God never intended for us to stay spiritual infants. The foundation matters, but it was never meant to be the finish line. He calls us to keep building, keep growing, and keep moving forward in our walk with Him.
Grow up in all aspects
“But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ.” (Eph. 4:15 NASB)
Walk worthy and keep increasing
“So that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.” (Col. 1:10 NASB)
Grow through the Word
“Like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation.” (1 Peter 2:2 NASB)
Never stop growing
“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” (2 Peter 3:18)
Spiritual growth is not automatic—it is intentional. Just like in business, marriage, or health, if we stop growing, we start drifting.
Therefore
Don’t settle for staying where you are spiritually. Stay hungry for God’s Word, keep applying what you learn, and keep moving forward toward maturity in Christ.
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Eph. 2:10 NIV)
