When getting older
“With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” (Psalm 91:16 NIV)
Getting Older Is a Gift
Growing older brings changes, but it does not make us useless. Every day is a gift from God and another opportunity to love, serve, encourage others, and bear fruit for Him.
As long as God gives you breath, He still has a purpose for your life.
God Will Sustain You
“Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.” (Isa. 46:4 NIV)
Our strength may change with age, but God’s strength never does. He promises to carry and sustain us throughout our lives.
Still Bearing Fruit
“They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green…” (Psalm 92:14 NIV)
You can still pray, encourage others, share your wisdom, serve, and tell others about Jesus. You are never too old to be useful to God.
Therefore
“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.” (2 Cor. 4:16 NIV)
Don’t spend your days wishing you were younger. Thank God for today and ask Him how He wants to use you.
“But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength.” (Isa. 40:31 NLT)
