When you want your heart strengthened

“…The eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him…” (2 Chron. 16:9 NLT)

God Is the Source of Your Strength

There are times when you simply feel worn down. Your circumstances may not change immediately, but God can strengthen your heart in the middle of them.

“The way of the Lord is strength for the upright…” (Prov. 10:29)

God does not expect you to face life in your own strength. Look to Him and trust Him to give you what you need.

The Lord Is Your Strength

“The Lord is my Rock and my Fortress and my Deliverer. My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” (Psalm 18:2)

When you feel weak, remember who God is. He is your Rock, Fortress, Deliverer, Shield, and Stronghold. Because He is with you, you do not need to live in fear.

“The Lord is my Light and my Salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalm 27:1)

Trust Him and He Will Help You

“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped…” (Psalm 28:7)

Notice the connection: my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped. Instead of depending entirely on yourself, place your confidence in God.

Therefore

“Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!” (Psalm 27:14)

Whatever you are facing today, don’t give up. Wait on the Lord. Trust Him. Pray. He will give you the strength you need to keep going.

“The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, and He will make me walk on my high hills.” (Hab. 3:19)

Quote

“Trying to do the Lord’s work in your own strength is the most confusing, exhausting, and tedious of all work. But when you are filled with the Holy Spirit, then the ministry of Jesus just flows out of you.” — Corrie Ten Boom
