“For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship.  And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.” (Rom. 8:15-16

Jesus taught us to pray to God as “Our Father.”

“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.” (Matt. 6:9 NIV)

As your father, He gives you good gifts when you ask him

“Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!”  (Matt. 7:9-11)

As your Father, He is pleased to give you the kingdom

 “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom”.  (Luke 12:32)

And as your Father, He loves you

“No, the Father himself loves you because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God. (John 16:27)

And as your Father, He lavishes His love on you

“How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!”  (1 John 3:1)

And as your Father, He is merciful to you and wants you to be merciful, too

“But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.  Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.” (Luke 6:35-36)

“For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.” (Luke 21:15 NIV)

Do not worry, the Holy Spirit will teach you

“When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say." (Luke 12:11-12 NIV)

God will be with your mouth

“Now then go, and I, even I, will be with your mouth, and teach you what you are to say." (Ex. 4:12 NASB)

For now and forever

"As for Me, this is My covenant with them," says the LORD: "My Spirit which is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your offspring, nor from the mouth of your offspring's offspring," says the LORD, "from now and forever." (Isa. 59:21 NASB)

“Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God. But this fragrance is perceived differently by those who are being saved and by those who are perishing. To those who are perishing, we are a dreadful smell of death and doom. But to those who are being saved, we are a life-giving perfume. And who is adequate for such a task as this? You see, we are not like the many hucksters who preach for personal profit. We preach the word of God with sincerity and with Christ's authority, knowing that God is watching us.” (2 Cor. 2:15-17 NLT)

Accepted as a soothing aroma

“As a soothing aroma I will accept you when I bring you out from the peoples and gather you from the lands where you are scattered; and I will prove Myself holy among you in the sight of the nations.” (Eze. 20:41 NASB)

Fragrance like the cedars of Lebanon  

“I will be like the dew to Israel; He will blossom like the lily, And he will take root like the cedars of Lebanon. His shoots will sprout, And his beauty will be like the olive tree And his fragrance like the cedars of Lebanon.” (Hosea 14:5:6 NASB)

Walk in love as a fragrant aroma

“And walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.” (Eph. 5:2 NASB)

God uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of Him

“But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ's triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere.” (2 Cor. 2:14 NIV)

“Therefore you will joyously draw water From the springs of salvation.” (Isa. 12:3 NASB)

A river of the water of life flows from the throne of God

“Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb.” (Rev. 22:1 aNASB)

Drink the water of eternal life and never thirst again

“Whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life." (John 4:14 NASB)

Rivers of living water will flow from you

"He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.'" (John 7:38 NASB)

 “By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you can all see.” (Acts 3:16 NIV)

Impossible for man but possible with God

“Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”

Possible for one who believes

“‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.” (Mark 9:23 NIV)

With faith and no doubt

“Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.” (Matt. 21:21 NIV)

According to His power that is at work within us

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” (Eph. 3:20-21 NIV)

Will accompany those who believe

“And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God. Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.” (Mark 16:17-20 NIV)

“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who is wise wins souls.” (Prov. 11:30 NASB)

 Followers of Jesus do this

“And He said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men."(Matt. 4:19 NASB)

“And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” (Mark. 16:15 ESV)

You can save a soul from death

“Let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.” (James 5:20 NASB)

The harvest is ready for you

“Do you not say, 'There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest.” (John 4:35 NASB)

Become all things to all people in order to save some

“Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law. To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some.” (1 Cor. 9:19-22 NIV)

The Holy Spirit gives you the power to witness

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (Acts 1:8 ESV)

"One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.” (Luke 16:10 ESV)

God knows when a sparrow falls

The small hairs on your head are numbered

Jesus noticed when a widow put a small amount in the treasury

“And He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury, and He saw also a certain poor widow putting in two mites. So He said, “Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all; for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for God, but she out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had.” (Luke 21:1-4 NKJ

Faith as small as a mustard seed can move a mountain

Refresh

To give new strength or energy to revitalize, revive, restore, fortify, enliven, perk up, stimulate, freshen, energize, exhilarate, reanimate, re-energize, wake up, revivify, inspirit.

Refreshed in Christ

“I do wish, brother, that I may have some benefit from you in the Lord; refresh my heart in Christ.” (Philemon 1:20 NIV)

“I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint." (Jer. 31:25 NIV)

Refreshes the soul

“Like the cold of snow in the time of harvest Is a faithful messenger to those who send him, For he refreshes the soul of his masters.” (Prov. 25:13 NASB)

A refreshed spirit

“For they refreshed my spirit and yours also. Such men deserve recognition.” (1 Cor. 16:18 NIV)

It comes back to you

“A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. (Prov. 11:25 NIV)

 “Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” (James 1:2-4 NLT)

When Troubles come you can have peace

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33 NIV)

You can have victory and overcome the world

“For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.” (2 John 5:4 NIV)

The victory comes through Jesus

“But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Cor. 15:57 NIV)

Persevere and you will be blessed!

“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.”  (James 1:12 NIV)
