God Is With You Always
“And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matt. 28:20)
A little girl was frightened during a thunderstorm and ran to her father’s side. He reminded her, “God is always with you, even in the storm.” She whispered back, “Yes, but sometimes I need God with skin on.” Her father’s presence reassured her of God’s greater presence.
The presence of God is not an occasional gift
It is a continual reality. Jesus didn’t promise to be with us only on the good days or when we feel strong. He promised, “I am with you always.” His Spirit dwells within us, His eyes see us wherever we are, and His promise is unchanging: “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Therefore
When you feel alone, remember—you are never truly alone. God is with you in every storm, every trial, every joy, and every ordinary moment of your life.
“Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’” (Heb. 13:5 ESV)
“Am I a God at hand, declares the Lord, and not a God far away? Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? declares the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the Lord.” (Jer. 23:23-24 ESV)

“We (Christians) are always in the presence of God. There is never a non-sacred moment! His presence never diminishes. Our awareness of His presence may falter, but the reality of His presence never changes.” – Max Lucado
